The Rainbow Belt

The Rainbow Belt functions as a metaphor for community--to be embraced by a community gives the individual strength; however, the bonds of community may restrict the indiviual's freedom. One can experience the pleasure of being a member of a defined social group and acrively negoiate movement and interests with the group while in the wool-y boundaries of the Rainbow Belt.
